Day 2 at Fairplay House

The second day started with an early rise. We were woken at 7am to tuck into a delicious breakfast of cereal, sausages and beans. Yum! The children were taken back to their bedrooms to get ready for the room inspection, where two teachers (Luke and Kiel) came up to their rooms to judge how neat and tidy they were. Fascinatingly, not many children got a score higher than 7 that was out of 10, however the most untidy room belonged to…. Kate and Nicole! Disgusting! Don’t worry though; we’ll try again tomorrow.

We then got ready to start our second activity of the week. Group 1 went on the big swing, group 2 to the woods, group 3 went caving and group 4 went on the high ropes. After a thrilling start to the day, we settled down for lunch, which we made and packed up ourselves. Following our next pep talk, we journeyed to our third activities. Group 1 on the high ropes, group 2 on the big swing, group 3 is off to the woods and group 4 to the caves! After a long and tiring day, we settled down to watch… Stormbreaker! Complete with popcorn and hot chocolate, it was the perfect way to end the day.

With only one more busy day at Fairplay house, we must quickly head to bed and prepare ourselves for our final activities (and hopefully much more positive room inspections).
